BIRTH TO THREE PROGRAM
Birth to three programs are intended to help the family of infants and toddlers learn how to help their child who has delays.
Wenatchee School District works in partnership with the Pediatric Therapy Center (PTC) to provide services to infants and toddlers who qualify for special education services. PTC is a neurodevelopmental center that supports both Chelan and Douglas counties.
When a WSD resident child under the age of 3 is brought to the attention of the school district as a focus of concern, the Early Childhood Coordinator refers that family to a county Family Resource Coordinator (FRC). The FRC meets with each family to determine if their child needs further evaluation. If so, the FRC supports the family in determining which service providers need to be involved in the assessment and possible special services that child and family may need. Wenatchee School District services are one of several community options a family may have.
