The Valley Academy of Learning (VAL) came about as a result of a partnership between the Wenatchee School District and parents in the Wenatchee Valley. Our mission is to partner with families by offering access to educational opportunities that enrich a child's learning experience. This alternative learning experience is offered through the Valley Academy of Learning. It operates under the WAC 392-121-182 and is a K-12 alternative program. The VAL program recognizes the parent as the primary teacher and works as a resource to the family to insure a high quality learning experience for each child consistent with the expectations of the student's family, the essential learnings established by the State Commission on Student Learning, and the learning frameworks created by the Wenatchee School District.
