Wenatchee
School District Curriculum Study Cycle Information
The Curriculum Design
and Development Process is fully outlined in the Process
Management site on the Wenatchee School District Web site; please
see LNT-P001: Curriculum
Design and Development for additional details. The process outlines
three types of curriculum, instruction, and assessment review: monthly/quarterly,
annually, and a seven year cycle.
On a monthly/quarterly
basis, the Wenatchee School District Articulation Teams meet to review
and problem-solve any issues as a result of Federal or State changes,
data analysis of student performance, teacher applications, or any
other new information. These changes often are revisions having minor
or no financial implications. Annually, then, Articulation Teams review
the work of the year and decide upon Action Plans for the following
year to address any such revisions.
On a seven year cycle,
MAJOR curriculum adoptions (along with any instructional, assessment,
and professional development implications) are considered on a rotating
basis. Below you will find the schedule for the Curriculum Study Cycle
which carries with it significant financial implications. This Study
Cycle is also outlined in Policy and Procedure 2120 and 2120P and carried
out through school year 2015-2016 to insure consistency of program
review.
