Coordination Services Provided by Enrichment

Mission Statement: To find and nurture talent in students by providing and supporting opportunities for them to pursue their interests at an appropriate pace and level of complexity and regular opportunities to spend time with students of similar abilities.

• Organization and leadership of Schoolwide Enrichment Teams
  • Assess existing school talent development and plan for needs
• Staff Support
  • Inservice presentations, provide teachers with materials for use with a specific group or individual, demonstration teaching, classroom presentations
• Communications
  • Articles in parent newsletters, District Enrichment Update, dialogue with staff, parent meetings and written correspondence, bulletin boards for student opportunities
• Public Relations
  • Community Resource Data Bank management, program brochures, Spanish translations, parent library and resources, participation in community groups supporting/providing enrichment for students
• General Administration
  • Talent Pool identification, student testing, enrichment teacher reports
• Program Evaluation, Monitoring
  • Staff, parent, student evaluations, state and district data collection and reporting, work with District Enrichment Committee to evaluate effectiveness and plan for future needs
• Professional Development
  • WAETAG conference, enrichment staff meetings, training
