FOOD SERVICES - GENERAL INFORMATION

The Food Services Department offers a wide range of services to the students and staff of the Wenatchee School District.

Full breakfast and lunch programs under the guidelines of the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program.
USDA Snack Program providing snacks for educationally related after school and child care programs.
Summer Food Service Program providing free meals to any children between the ages of one and eighteen at certain school sites.

Pre-Paid Meals for Your Children

Did you know you could put money on account to pay for your children’s school breakfasts and lunches? Stop spending time hunting around for lunch money at the last minute. Each child is assigned an account number and the process is computerized so you can be assured that the funds are safe. You can pay ahead by the week, the month or the year, whatever best suites your budget.

Payment can be made with the secretary at your child’s school. Checks can be made out to “WSD Food Services.”

Free and Reduced Breakfast and Lunch

Lunch at school is better than ever! Did you know you might qualify for the Free and Reduced Price Meals Program? You can save hundreds of dollars a year in food expenses. You can also be assured your child is getting the proper nutrition needed to learn at their peak performance level. You and your child’s participation in the program are held in the strictest confidence and it’s easy to apply. Just contact your school secretary for an application or download one in Spanish, English or other languages.
